A special thank you to both Abergavenny Petanque Club and Bailey Park Bowls Club for letting us use their pavilion as Rally Control for this year's Abergavenny Steam Rally.

And a big thank you to their volunteers, who gave up their weekend to marshal the event alongside us.

Some of the biggest events run on the smallest details, and this year, that detail was a pavilion.

That pavilion became the beating heart of the rally. Volunteers ran through health and safety training there, Rally Control coordinated with St John's Ambulance, and kept in touch with stewards right across the ground and, on those very hot days, it gave volunteers a much-needed bit of shade and a breather.

None of it happens without support like this. Local Clubs and their volunteers working together with us at the Abergavenny Steam Rally, raising money that goes straight back into projects across our community over the next year. That's the whole point of the Steam Rally.

Keith Willard (President 2025/26) and David Tod (Event Co-ordinator 2026) presented a cheque to say thank you, but honestly, words don't quite cover it.

Fancy volunteering with Abergavenny Rotary? Get in touch, we'd love to have you.
