If you've ever wondered where to turn for support as you get older, or for someone you love, Tuesday, 14th July was the day you needed to be in Abergavenny.

Abergavenny Rotary Club joined the Age Alliance Wales Roadshow at the Community Wellbeing Café at the Tithe Barn, and honestly, it was a brilliant day because of all the fantastic organisations offering support, advice and information for older people, their families and carers. This event was an excellent opportunity to share information about Rotary, explain how people can get involved, and highlight ways to support the local community.

Alongside us were Abergavenny Community Trust, Age Cymru Gwent, Alzheimer's Society, Action for Elders, Bridges Centre, Care & Repair, Crafting 4 Cancer, Dementia Friendly Gwent, Llais and Sight Cymru. All giving their time, all there for the same reason: to promote “independence and wellbeing” , for those growing older in our Community. That’s what this event was all about.

Huge thanks to Age Alliance Wales for bringing this roadshow to Abergavenny, and to everyone who came along.

We'd love to work with the  Age Alliance  and Community Wellbeing Café again. If you're running an event and think Rotary could be part of it, drop us a message.
