The 2026 Community Draw: Fundraising Without the Risk …..

Updated: Apr 21

Community fundraising doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t have to drain your volunteers, require upfront investment, or leave you worrying about whether you’ll break even. In fact — it can be simple, profitable, and genuinely impactful.

That’s exactly why the 2026 Rotary Marches Community Draw  (previously Monmouth Community Draw) is back.

This long‑running initiative, powered by Rotary, has become one of the most effective ways for local groups across Monmouth and Abergavenny to raise money with zero financial risk.

Why This Draw Is Different

Most fundraising comes with hurdles: costs, logistics, admin, or uncertainty. This draw removes all of that.

No upfront costs. No complicated setup. No catches.

Just pure community benefit.

Rotary handles the prizes, printing, and licensing — meaning every £1 you raise stays with your organisation.

🎟️ How It Works

It’s beautifully simple:

  • You sell the tickets

  • You keep 100% of the proceeds

  • Rotary covers everything else

Whether you’re a PTFA, charity, sports club, or community group, this is one of the easiest ways to boost your fundraising efforts.

💰 2026 Prize Fund

This year’s prizes are:

  • £275 – First Prize

  • £150 – Second Prize

  • £75 – Third Prize

The winning tickets will be drawn at the Monmouth Raft Race on the River Wye this September — a highlight of the local calendar.

🔥 Real Results From Local Groups

This isn’t theory — it’s proven.

Local groups collectively raise £5,000–£12,000 every year through the draw.

A few standout examples:

  • A PTFA in Abergavenny raised £750 from ticket sales alone

  • Previous winning tickets have been sold by:

    • Monmouth Breast Cancer Support

    • Abergavenny Dance Blast

    • Cwtch Angels Community Fridge

When groups participate, they see real, tangible results.

🚀 Why It Works So Well

The draw succeeds because it’s:

  • Simple to run

  • Zero risk

  • 100% profit retained

  • Backed by Rotary’s experience and credibility

For busy community groups, it’s a fundraising dream: high impact, low effort.

📣 How to Get Involved

If you’re part of a local group in Abergavenny and haven’t taken part before, this is your moment.

You can take as many tickets as you feel confident selling — the more you sell, the more your organisation benefits.

This Isn’t Just a Raffle — It’s Community Impact

Every ticket sold supports the groups that make our towns vibrant, caring, and connected. Every pound raised stays local. Every effort helps build a stronger community.

If your organisation could use a boost this year, the Monmouth Community Draw is your simplest, safest, and most effective opportunity.
